Who we are

We are an economically and politically independent consultancy and research bureau with branches in Bern and Altdorf. Founded in 1988, Ecoplan is a public limited company that is wholly owned by its partners. Our success is measured by the satisfaction of our customers. André Müller has been working as a senior expert since 2025. Between 1991 and 2024, he was a partner and member of the board of directors at Ecoplan heading the Environment and Energy Division. He focuses on energy, environmental, social and economic policy. He studied rural engineering at the ETHZ (1984) and economics at the University of Bern (1991). From 1985 to 1990 he worked first as an engineer at Emch+Berger Bern AG and then as an independent energy planner and DP instructor.
